How durable are the fabrics used in Pure Talalay Bliss mattresses?
Pure Talalay Bliss uses 450-480 Gram Weight fabric on their beds. It is the heaviest gram weight, highest quality and most expensive fabric used across an entire line in the industry.
The fabric is made from the following:
20-45% Viscose (depending on the mattress model) which is 50% Natural. Viscose is made from viscous organic liquid. It is manufactured by dissolving pulp from wood, hemp or cotton fibers. Most would say that the cover is 21-23% Natural if you were comparing it to other fabrics. The Viscose is what makes the fabric so incredibly soft to the touch.
1-2% Spandex or Elastan (depending on mattress model.) The Spandex is what gives the fabric the ability to stretch so amazingly.
52-56% Rayon (A man made fiber generated from natural cellulose derived from wood pulp)
How does a Pure Talalay Bliss mattress improve my sleep quality?
Sleeping on a Pure Talalay Bliss mattress is a life-changing experience. Unlike other mattresses, Pure Talalay Bliss mattresses allow your muscles to relax by providing uplifting support and a pressure-less feel. Many describe it as being the same sense of floating, being suspended. It is a difference you can feel.
Relaxing your muscles helps relieve stress, manage anxiety, ease stiffness, control blood pressure and boost immunity. Chronic muscle tension uses up energy, which can make you fatigue easier during the day and even lead to insomnia.
How is a Pure Talalay Bliss mattress better for my health?
The difference is in the chemicals. Many mattress adhesives contain a variety of toxic chemicals. Solvent-based adhesives have 48 toxic chemicals in them and only one non-toxic chemical and one natural material (water). You spend about 1/3 of your year in bed, so it’s important to know what you’re sleeping on.
Solvent-based mattress adhesives are filled with 48 toxic chemicals and foam has an additional 7. A Pure Talalay Bliss mattress is just that, pure. Our Talalay Latex beds are made with water-based adhesives and contain 6 non-toxic chemicals (acrylate resins, diphenyl diisocyanate, Phenol-melamine resins, Phenol-urea, Polyvinyl acetate and waxes styrene- butadiene copolymer) and 3 natural materials (fats, hevea brasiliensis milk, and water.)
Which foundations and box springs work with a Pure Talalay Bliss mattress?
Pure Talalay Bliss mattresses work well and are ideally suited to a variety of foundations including adjustable bed foundations, solid surface foundations, platform beds, and slat foundations with a solid top surface.
In fact, Talalay Latex mattresses work on the greatest variety of foundations of any mattress construction. Here is the reason why— the mattresses are made from Talalay Latex Rubber. Rubber is very resilient and durable because of its elongation properties.
Important Foundation Information: Pure Talalay Bliss mattresses are substantial in weight, and are designed to work on a solid, firm surface, not spring foundations or bases that are structurally not capable of supporting the weight of purchaser’s pure Talalay Bliss mattress. Pure Talalay Bliss may require purchaser to provide proof of the quality of the foundation, adjustable bed base, or bed frame used in conjunction with the mattress if purchaser makes a claim under this Limited Warranty. Therefore, if purchaser uses inappropriate foundations, box springs, adjustable bed bases, or inferior bed frames with the mattress, such use will void this limited warranty without limitation. **An appropriate bed frame must completely support the foundation as well.
Our recommended foundation partner is Ironwood Bedframes. Please contact them to discuss your needs.
How is Talalay Latex environmentally friendly?
Talalay Latex Rubber is produced by Talalay Global and is manufactured in CT. The manufacturing process does not use solvents and does not damage the ozone layer. Talalay Global’s Talalay Latex is certified by Oeko-Tex (Europe’s highest environmental consumer product standard) to be free of harmful substances or chemicals.
Talalay Latex Rubber is made using an eco-friendly production method.
The Talalay process features natural, biodegradable ingredients that come from renewable resources and water-based raw materials: natural latex, air and water. Latex is a rubber-based material that comes from the tropical hevea brasiliensis tree. These trees have a 25 year productive life and they have a strong effect on the environment as they quickly absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and help reduce greenhouse emissions.
Talalay Latex Rubber is made with energy and water conservation in mind.
Energy: Talalay Global’s manufacturing automation optimizes energy usage for the molding stage (freezing and vulcanization portion) of the Talalay process. The state of the art factory in Shelton, CT, USA also features energy efficient lighting.
Water: Talalay Global has engineered its multi-stage washer to minimize the amount of water consumed.
